Where do backpackers come from?

Below are log book tallys from a single guest house in Melaka, Malaysia, and another in the Perhentian Islands, Malaysia using "passport" entry as a guide. Wish I had started doing this a long time ago, as it gives some insight into which countries are represented in the backpacking community. Bear in mind that politics presently excludes Israel passport holders from entry into many Moslem countries, and Malaysia is no exception. Most backpackers, regardless of country of origin, use English to communicate.
