Personal Transport in China and Southeast Asia

Affluent folks in this part of the world express themselves in many ways. Travelers enjoy taking snap shots of lots of fun vehicles, some akin to scooters, others like three wheelers, and of course the ubiquitous golf cart.

Weather seal What, no fringe?
Classic side car After school chauffeur
This sidecar was not unique, as we saw half a dozen in olive drab. The lower right photo is of a man waiting to pick up a young teenager after school. Do you think she was the envy of her classmates? All taken in Southern China.
Batteries included Wedding troupe
This bicycle has a battery pack and motor to keep you going once you peddle up to speed. Photo to the right is of a wedding troupe going to get the bride. Southern China.
No Foto! Father's Footsteps
Toni shot the little tyke on his father's scooter from the back, clearly showing the vent in the seat of his pants. And yes, the photo of the police officers was shot from the hip before requesting permission to take a picture. The request was denied, so identity has been withheld. Southern China.
